SAN ANTONIO — The University of the Incarnate Word announced that its Feik School of Pharmacy Class of 2025 ranked No. 1 in Texas on the most recent North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination, the national standardized exam required for pharmacy licensure in the United States, Canada and other jurisdictions.

According to the university, Feik School of Pharmacy graduates achieved a 97% pass rate, placing them first among the nine pharmacy schools in Texas and seventh nationally out of 142 schools. The state average pass rate was 87%, while the national average was 86.8%.

University officials said the results represent the highest NAPLEX scores in the history of the Feik School of Pharmacy.

“For the past five years, we have always been in the top three of pharmacy schools in the state for licensure pass rates, but this is the first time in the history of the school that we were No. 1 among the nine pharmacy schools in Texas,” said Dr. David Maize, dean of the UIW Feik School of Pharmacy. “We are very proud of the Class of 2025 on their performance. It was their hard work and the dedication of the faculty and staff that made it possible. The Feik School of Pharmacy provides a superior education in a supportive environment. This is what makes us the ‘Pharmily’.”

The Feik School of Pharmacy was founded in 2004 to address the need for highly trained, culturally competent pharmacists and patient advocates, according to the university. The school emphasizes service to communities across Texas and beyond, with a particular focus on underserved populations.
