‘Unclothed male’ reportedly stole ambulance, led police on chase in Texas, officials say

The suspect was arrested in the Dallas area after a brief foot chase, police say.

MESQUITE, Texas — An “unclothed male” reportedly led police on a chase in a stolen ambulance before being arrested Monday, officials say. 

Police responded after a caller reported an “unclothed male” who was taken to Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite left in an ambulance.

Officers found the ambulance and chased it to I-20 and County Road 310 in Kaufman County, where Terrell police and Kaufman County deputies deployed spike strips and stopped it, police say. 

Police say the suspect was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. No injuries or crashes were reported.

WFAA chopper footage of the scene showed an Allegiance Mobile Health vehicle off the side of a road in Kaufman County.

WFAA has reached out to Allegiance and Dallas Regional Medical Center for comment.
