Universal City woman taken into custody after police say she told neighbors she killed her husband

Police said they found a deceased male upon arrival at the scene.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas — Universal City Police say a woman was taken into custody on Wednesday after she allegedly told neighbors she killed her husband.

Police said they received a call around 11:30 a.m. to a home on the 100 block of Rising Star about a woman who reportedly crossed the street to a neighbor’s home, telling them she had killed her husband.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a deceased male. The woman was then taken into custody without incident.

Police said the woman claimed to be seriously detoxing and she was briefly hospitalized before she was taken to the Bexar County Jail.
