“We believe that involving our youngest fans in the design process adds a unique and special touch to our football season,” said Dr. Brad Smith, UTSA deputy athletics director for external affairs. “Their creativity and passion are truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to see the amazing designs they come up with.”

The initiative aims to “engage young fans in the excitement of college football and empower them to leave their marks on the upcoming season. From colorful drawings to imaginative designs, local kids are encouraged to let their creativity soar and capture the spirit of being a UTSA Roadrunner,” a press release said.

UTSA said the tickets should be designed to represent one of six hometown heroes ranging from educators, first responders, health care workers, small business owners, essential workers and members of the armed forces.

Those interested can submit designs either digitally to Kaitlin.Meyers@utsa.edu or by mail to Katie Meyers, UTSA Athletics, 1 UTSA Circle, San Antonio, TX 78249.

UTSA said the winner will also receive an exclusive UTSA Athletics prize pack, including tickets for them and a parent to the season opener and a VIP experience at an upcoming home game in addition to having their design featured.
