
Uvalde Police arrested a high school coach for an improper relationship with a student, following evidence discovered during a mental health crisis call.
SAN ANTONIO — The Uvalde Police Department said a Uvalde High School coach has been arrested and accused of having an improper relationship with a student.
In a release posted to the Uvalde Police Department’s Facebook page, officials said the investigation began on March 28, when police responded to a mental health crisis call and discovered evidence suggesting a UCISD employee.
The high school coach was identified as a suspect and an arrest warrant was later executed with the assistance of the Bexar County Police Department. Other agencies were also involved in the investigation.
Authorities are continuing to investigate whether other victims may be involved. The community is encouraged to come forward with any information that may help the case.
