Uvalde Police investigate threat brought to their attention from San Antonio, officials say

SAN ANTONIO — The Uvalde Police Department is investigating a threat that was initially brought to their attention by the United States Court Clerk in San Antonio, according to a press release.

The threat was forwarded from San Antonio to the Southwest Texas Fusion Center, which tracks and communicates threats between all levels of law enforcement. The center then shared the threat information with Uvalde, according to a release.

Little information was provided by Uvalde officials about the threat but said the department takes every threat seriously. They are currently conducting an investigation to determine the threat’s validity.

Uvalde Police said they urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
