SAN ANTONIO — VIA Metropolitan Transit is once again offering folks in San Antonio free rides for one of San Antonio’s most cherished holiday traditions.
If you are heading out to the H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, you can ride fare-free on all VIA services, including bus, VIA Link and VIAtrans.
The H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting takes place in Travis Park at 301 E. Travis St. Festivities. The festivities start at 4 p.m., with the official tree lighting set for 6 p.m. The event traditionally features family activities, food, music and a festive kickoff to the holiday season.
To ride for free, just tell the bus driver that you are going to Travis Park!
