Victor Wembanyama is captivating NBA fans, and the rankings prove it.
SAN ANTONIO — The NBA announced that San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama is among the top-10 most viewed players across NBA social media platforms this season.
Wemby ranked No. 2 on the list with 708 million views, just behind Lakers’ Luka Doncic at No. 1 with 845 million.
This is no surprise, considering how the Spurs’ center is a walking highlight reel. With his dunks, blocks, and long-range shooting, Wemby certainly is must-see TV.
OLYNYK’S SAN ANTONIO HOLIDAY PUPPY STORY
Spurs’ Kelly Olynyk and his wife, Jackie, recently shared a touching story about a lost puppy named Harley they found in San Antonio two years before he joined the team (he was with the Jazz at the time) and their path to finding out who the furry pal belongs to.
“We got in the car, and we maybe drove for 10 seconds, and I just started crying. Sweet Kelly just looked at me and didn’t say anything and turned around,” said Jackie. “And then I got a phone call, and it was from the owner. She was like, “Oh my gosh, you have Harley? I have been looking for her for years. Like I lost her years ago.”
Said Kelly: “And so we drive over there, knock on the door, and the owner opens the door.”
Now that is a Christmas assist from the Olynyks.
