Viral video shows kids being rescued from hot car; Homeowner fatally shoots intruder ‘fearing for his wife’s safety’ | KENS 5 News Now

SAN ANTONIO — A video out of San Antonio is going viral with millions of views. It shows three children including an infant getting rescued from a hot car.

The video is painful to watch and listen to as one child appears to struggle just to breathe. Police say the children were in the vehicle for nearly an hour before a good Samaritan stepped in.

A homeowner on the west side of town shot and killed a man that police say refused to leave his property early Sunday morning.

Investigators say that when the suspect tried to attack the homeowner, armed with a shotgun and fearing for his wife’s safety, he shot the suspect once in the stomach.
