Voodoo Doughnut, pOpshelf opening new locations in San Antonio – San Antonio Express-News

Voodoo Doughnut, the 24-hour doughnut shop, will open its first San Antonio location next week. However, it is not the only new business, San Antonians are excited about

The home of the “Bacon Maple Bar,” which already has five Texas locations, will begin serving the Alamo City at 8 a.m. on Dec. 20. The business, painted in its signature shade of pink, is located at 400 E. Houston Street in downtown near the Alamo

The menu features doughnuts like the “Old Dirty Bastard,” “Grape Ape” and “Voodoo Doll” in addition to other pastries like the Pumpkin Cream and Peppermint Cocoa Cannolo. Their pastries come in a box that is the same shade as the company’s signature pink.

In addition, pOpshelf, an offspring of Dollar General, which now has multiple locations in San Antonio, opened its new location on the far West Side near the Texas 151 and Loop 410 interchange. The new store, which is located at 8203 TX-151, Suite 108, sells most of its items for $5 or less, although several can cost more.

Several more pOpshelf San Antonio locations are expected in the coming months, including at 22610 U.S. Highway 281 N, Suite 110, in the Stone Oak area, and 1235 Austin Highway, Suite 110, in the Alamo Heights area.

Construction at its Rim location at 7822 La Cantera Parkway, Suite 114, was supposed to be completed in September but still has not opened.

Its first San Antonio location opened at 4351 Thousand Oaks Drive on the Northeast Side.
