ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) released body-worn camera video Thursday of two deputies rescuing two people and a dog from a capsized boat near St. Augustine Inlet.
The rescue happened on Feb. 15 around 3 p.m., according to a post by SJSO, when they said high winds and swells made for rough seas near the inlet.
Two deputies found the stranded boaters clinging to the bottom of their capsized boat.
The two deputies guided their vessel close enough to be able to grab the people and dog from the water, taking them to safety at the Vilano Fishing Pier.
No injuries were reported, according to the SJSO post. You can see the video below:
