HOUSTON — Firefighters are working to put out the flames after fire broke out in northwest Harris County and spread to fireworks.
It’s happening at the intersection of Hufsmith-Kuykendahl Road and Kuykendahl Road. Video on social media shows smoke and flames, and fireworks going off in a plume of smoke.
The Spring Fire Department and Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office are both on the scene.
Roads are shut down around the fire and people are being told to avoid the area. The railroad nearby has also been shut down.
At this point, we don’t have any word of injuries. We also don’t know how the fire started.
Below is a map of where the fire is burning. We have a crew there gathering information. We’ll post updates as we get them.
