WATCH: SA firefighters rescue 2 people from rushing flood waters at Salado Creek

SAN ANTONIO — Two people were rescued after a driver appeared to try to navigate a flooded road Wednesday afternoon, after overnight storms dumped 2 inches in some parts of San Antonio. 

Firefighters arrived to the scene near Interstate 35 at Salado Creek on the city’s east side, where a father and a little girl were stranded and surrounded by high rushing water.

The two were safely rescued from the vehicle.
