The popular H-E-B commercials are back just in time for the new Spurs season, tipping off Wednesday.
SAN ANTONIO — The popular H-E-B San Antonio Spurs commercials are back, with the new one giving the spotlight to Victor Wembanyama’s endless – and, if you’re the Coyote, Jaws-like – grocery list.
In the new ad, guard De’Aaron Fox, making his first appearance in an H-E-B commercial, is making a trip to the local grocer and asks his teammate if he needs anything.
That’s when a simple favor offer turns into Wemby’s long – loooooong – list of requested H-E-B items as his teammates are left confused and the Spurs Coyote running for his life.
According to H-E-B, a second commercial launching in the coming months will Fox, Wembanyama and Stephon Castle.
“Each year, we look forward to partnering with the Spurs on these playful commercials as a way to entertain our fans at the start of the season,” said Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B’s vice president of marketing, in a release. “Beyond collaborating on these fun television spots, we are grateful to work alongside an organization that shares our deep commitment to support communities throughout San Antonio and across the state.”
The commercials will be televised throughout the season in the San Antonio and Austin areas as well as other select cities in South Texas, said H-E-B.
