The family of Richard Montalvo says they believe he is in the area of Thousand Oaks Drive and Perrin Beitel Road on the city’s northeast side.
SAN ANTONIO — A disabled San Antonio man has been missing for nearly four days. Richard “Ricky” Montalvo, 55, was last seen at his home on the northeast side.
His family says he left their home in the early Friday morning.
Richard’s sister, Mary Lou, spoke with KENS 5 and says the entire family is worried that he might be in danger and they just want him back home.
“It’s hard, because he doesn’t have anybody else,” said Mary Lou.
Montalvo’s family says he wondered off from their home located off Thousand Oaks Drive and El Sendero.
“He’s on his 4th day. We don’t know where he’s at. Perrin Beitel is the last place that he has been seen,” she said.
Montalvo’s family has been frantically searching the area around Perrin Beitel Road and Thousand Oaks Drive.
“We’re just trying to scope all the areas that we can and pass out flyers with information,” said Montalvo.
Montalvo’s family is concerned, because although he is 55, they say a traumatic brain injury he suffered as a child, left him with the mental capacity of a child.
“He’s not a 55-year-old man. You see him and he’s like an 8 or 9-year-old kid, still stuck in that zone,” said Montalvo.
Local organization Search & Support San Antonio has been assisting the family as they search for him. They are asking any homeowners or businesses to check surveillance footage from the night of May 15 onward, especially the area near his home.
“If you do come across him, please call SAPD. Give them a location. Take a picture if you can, so that we can find out if that is Richard Montalvo that we are looking for.” Said Montalvo
