Webb County deputy hit while working construction traffic in SA, according to authorities

SAN ANTONIO — A Webb County deputy was recovering in the hospital Friday night after being hit while working construction, authorities say.

The off-duty deputy was working construction traffic on the 1600 block of Blanco. Police say a Dodge Charger drove between barrels and hit her truck she was standing in front of at the time, causing the truck to hit her person.

She was taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to police.

It’s unclear if the driver faces any charges or if they were under the influence of any kind.
