Animal Care Services and the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition will host the adoption event Saturday at the Windcrest Petsmart.
SAN ANTONIO — This Saturday there will be a community effort to find loving dogs and cats their forever homes.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the PetSmart at Windcrest, located at 8520 Forwinds Drive. Animal Care Services will have dogs available for adoption, while the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition (SAFCC) will feature cats.
“It’s so important because, right now, San Antonio continues to have a high number of animals entering the shelter, so these adoption events are critical to opening up the door for another animal in need,” said Melissa Camp with SAFCC.
Organizers say the adoption process is easy, but volunteers will be on hand to help with the process if you are a beginner.
They also say this is the purrr-fect opportunity to come out and meet a fury friend you can take to a loving home.
