SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama is featured in the latest commercial for season four of the video game NBA 2K26.
Wemby is shown dunking, shooting, and more at the Frost Bank Center, colored in the team’s Fiesta colors.
Currently, the Spurs’ big man leads the team in NBA2K player rating at a whopping 95 overall. De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle are second on the team at 85, and Dylan Harper and Keldon Johnson are at 80.
SPURS ASSIGN CARTER BRYANT TO AUSTIN SPURS
The Spurs announced that rookie Carter Bryant has been assigned to the Austin Spurs of the G League.
This will be his first stint with the Austin squad and he will be available to play when Austin hosts the South Bay Lakers on Jan. 9.
This season, Bryant is averaging 2.1 points per game and 1.6 rebounds through 29 games played with San Antonio. He’s shooting 32% from the field, including 26% from the three-point line.
The added playing time with Austin will help his overall development and work on his outside shot, which has been an issue for him. In his last five games, he is averaging 18% from the field (1.7 attempts) and has not made a three-pointer.
The Spurs’ 2025 NBA Draft pick was a guest on Locked On Spurs and spoke about playing for the Austin Spurs at some point in his first NBA season.
“You get to play basketball at this high level, you’re going to get better,” he said. “I think for me, going in with the same mentality of just getting better and better.”
He is in Mitch Johnson’s rotation and getting good minutes, which is a good sign for how the coaching staff sees Bryant fitting in this season and beyond.
