Wembanyama goes car shopping; Austin Spurs’ Bouyea gets called up to the NBA

Wemby might need a longer car to fit his 7-3 frame.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama may be sidelined with deep vein thrombosis, but that isn’t keeping him away from car shopping.

The Spurs center was spotted car shopping at San Antonio’s Roman Motor Company, where he tried out the Nissan Z roadster.

However, considering his 7-3 frame, he did struggle to get in and out of the vehicle.

Wemby has been passing the time as he recovers with therapy shopping.

He was recently spotted at the Ironside Antique Mall and was kind enough to snap a photo with a few of his fans.

The Spurs big man averaged 24.3 points, 11 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 3.8 blocks per game before being shut down for the season.

AUSTIN SPURS’ BOUYEA GET CALLED UP TO THE BUCKS

Congratulations to Austin Spurs guard Jamaree Bouyea. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Bucks have signed him to a two-way NBA deal.

Bouyea averaged 20 points for the Austin Spurs in the G League this year and recorded a season-high 31 points versus the Vipers.

Bouyea follows Austin Spurs’ Malachi Flynn, who was called to the NBA’s Hornets.
