Wembanyama, Team Chuck to open up NBA All-Star Game vs. Team Kenny; Intense Spurs pre-game hype moment

Spurs guard Blake Wesley and Keldon Johnson get really hyped before the game against Boston.

SAN ANTONIO — Charles Barkley selected San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama for his team at the 2025 NBA All-Star Game tournament, and the team will go up against Team Kenny in the opening game.

Chuck’s Global Stars versus Kenny’s Young Stars will face play on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. CST on TNT.

The semifinal winners will advance to meet in the championship. For all three games of the mini-tournament, the first team to 40 points wins.

This will mark Wemby’s first All-Star Game. He will also participate in the Skills Challenge with teammate Chris Paul.

Also heading to San Francisco will be Stephon Castle, who will be taking part in the Slam Dunk Contest.

Ahead of the Spurs’ match versus Bostons, an intense pre-game hype moment with Keldon Johnson and Blake Wesley caught by ESPN cameras.

Wesley rips Johnson’s warm-up t-shirt as Keldon flexes and yells in excitement.

As Wesley finally rips off the shirt, he throws it toward the Boston crowd, and teammates surround Keldon. 

Unfortunately, it was not enough, as the Spurs lost to the Celtics, 116-103.
