CASTLE INVESTS IN CONNETICUTT SOCCER TEAMS

Spurs guard Stephon Castle is a new investor of the CT Sports Group, the parent organization of CT United FC and Connecticut Women’s Pro Soccer.

“Playing basketball at UConn showed me the incredible talent and passion for sports here, in Connecticut,” said Castle, in a release. “My family and I are proud to invest in CTSG and help build elite clubs that inspire young athletes, energize fans, and create lasting pride across the state.”

CT United FC, a men’s professional club, will take the pitch in MLS NEXT Pro in 2026, and Connecticut’s future professional women’s team will join WPSL Pro in 2028.

It is no surprise that Castle is investing in the CT Sports Group. He played for the UConn Huskies in 2024 and helped guide the team to a national championship.
