What one Texans player did to pour salt in the Baltimore Ravens wound

Jaylin Noel did the Ray Lewis dance right after a fourth-quarter touchdown in Houston’s blowout win on Sunday.

HOUSTON — Not only did the Texans disrespect the Ravens on the field Sunday in a 44-10 rout, but a Texans rookie also added a little salt to the fresh wound.

With the game already out of reach in the fourth quarter, Texans rookie Jaylin Noel hauled in a 4-yard CJ Stroud pass for his first career touchdown that extended Houston’s lead to 41-10.

The rookie then broke out the old Ray Lewis dance. If you’re not familiar, the dance was the signature move of Ray Lewis, a longtime Raven and NFL Hall of Famer. It was a tradition of sorts for the Ravens’ legendary linebacker.

Another football legend addressed it during the broadcast.

“He did something in Baltimore that for many years, would have never been allowed by an opposing player,” said former Texans star JJ Watt, who was calling the game for CBS Sports.

Another tradition — keeping the football after your first career touchdown, but after Noel’s show in the end zone, the Ravens’ Jaire Alexander tried to take the ball away from him and a tussle followed.

Though it wasn’t clear from the video if Noel held onto the ball, according to USA Today, he made it to the sidelines with the keepsake.

Here’s the Ray Lewis dance when it was done by Lewis himself for the last time during a game.
