Whataburger will announce on September 16 how these funds are being distributed to the nine nonprofit organizations they chose.
SAN ANTONIO — Whataburger stepped up to make a difference for the victims of flooding in the Texas Hill Country.
They raised more than $1.5M for the victims through their “Cups that Care” collectible cups that were available at Whataburger.
Since launching the “Cups that Care” campaign, Whataburger says they’ve sold hundreds of thousands cups.
Guests across 17 states came together from July 9 through September 8 and purchased the limited-edition $2 commemorative cups, with every cup helping to benefit relief efforts.
Whataburger will announce on Tuesday, September 16, how these funds are being distributed to the nine nonprofit organizations providing disaster response, mental health care, and long-term rebuilding support.
The nonprofits that will be receiving support include:
- Children’s Bereavement Center
- Team Rubicon
- Gary Sinise Foundation
- Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country
- Band Together Texas Foundation
- Applause for the Cause
- San Antonio Botanical Garden
- San Angelo Relief Foundation
- Hill Country Community Foundation
“Texas is our home, and we are proud to stand strong with our neighbors in the Hill Country to bring hope and relief to those who need it most,” said Whataburger.
