San Antonio’s postseason drought – the second-longest in the NBA – will end this year. Here’s what fans need to know to get ready for playoff action.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs are headed back to the NBA postseason and fans can soon secure their seats to the Silver & Black’s first playoff action since 2019.
On Wednesday, the Spurs announced that tickets for their first two home games of the opening round of the NBA Playoffs will go on sale April 2. The games will be played at the Frost Bank Center, with concrete dates expected later that month.
Specific opponents, game times and broadcast details will be finalized after the NBA regular season finish on April 12 and the Play-In Tournament wraps up five days later.
San Antonio will hold home-court advantage in the series, regardless of who they play, as they mark their first playoff appearance of the Victor Wembanyama era. Having outperformed preseason expectations to the tune of the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, whatever matchup awaits is sure to be on screens all over the Alamo City.
The return to the postseason will mark the franchise’s 40th playoff appearance in 50 seasons, which is the second-most in the NBA since 1976.
