A whopping 234 athletes are heading to Italy to represent Team USA as part of the largest U.S. roster in Winter Olympics history.
WASHINGTON — More than 250 U.S. athletes qualified for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Of them, 234 are being sent to Milan Cortina for the Games.
One state produced the most U.S. Olympians for 2026: Colorado.
While the Winter Games have fewer athletes on Team USA than the summer counterpart, and there are 97 athletes representing the U.S. just for skiing and snowboarding, this is the largest U.S. roster ever for the Winter Olympics.
The previous record was in 2018, when Team USA had 228 athletes competing.
Along with athletes from nearly every state, Team USA includes athletes from outside the country, including two Canadians and a Ukrainian.
Here are all the states where athletes headed to the 2026 Winter Games come from. This list does not include Paralympic athletes competing in 2026.
