Houston earned a No. 1 seed in the men’s tournament, while Texas earned a top seed in the women’s tournament.

The NCAA tournament gets started this week for the both the men’s and women’s events, and Texas has no shortage of representation. In all, the Lone Star State sent six teams dancing on the men’s side, and five on the women’s side.
Houston earned a No. 1 seed in the men’s tournament, while Texas earned a top seed in the women’s tournament.
While the tournaments officially begin Tuesday and Wednesday with opening round games (essentially play-in games), all of the Texas schools earned byes into the Round of 64.
