SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after a shooting outside a west-side bar early Thursday morning, according to police.

The shooting happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Stout House, located in the 9200 block of Potranco Road near Highway 151.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting and found a man inside a truck who had been shot multiple times. Investigators say a fight that began inside the bar spilled out into the parking lot, where someone pulled out a gun and fired several shots.

The victim was transported to University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Surveillance footage provided by Jose Avila, owner of Gueritos Tacos, shows people outside in distress wondering what’s going on. Men are heard shouting a couple times “Who got hit?”

“Hopefully, they can catch the guys who did this outrageous thing. Nobody deserves what happened to the gentleman no matter what the situation was,” Avila said. “Just praying for peace for everyone.”

Police noted this is not the first deadly incident at the bar. In May of last year, another person was killed in a shooting under similar circumstances following a brawl.

At this time, police believe they are searching for two suspects. Detectives continue to investigate the shooting.

The San Antonio Fire Department and EMS also responded to the scene.

KENS 5 will update this story as more information becomes available.
