DALLAS — As we approach the NBA Finals, America is picking which side of the fence they want to be on throughout the seven-game series — and Mavs fandom appears to spread far and wide.
According to a BetOnline Map, which was created by researching geotagged locations paired with fan hashtags, there’s a near-even split between who wants to see the Mavs win and who wants to see the Celtics win.
So, with 29 states, or 58%, of America on their side, can the Mavs pull it off and win their first NBA Championship since 2011?
Game 1 of the Mavs-Celtics matchup tips off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night, so be sure to tune into WFAA as all games will be aired on ABC, the exclusive broadcasting network of the NBA Finals.
