WILSON COUNTY, Texas — Wilson County officials are currently working a fatal accident near Floresville, according to officials.
According to a Facebook post by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, the intersection of FM 539 at Highway 97 East will be closed for about 2-3 hours. State Highway 97 traffic both East and West will be alternating. They are asking that you avoid the area.
Wilson County News tells KENS 5 that one person has died in the accident. They say the crash involved a motorcycle and passenger vehicle.
Texas DPS has now confirmed the victim is a 54-year-old man and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Texas DPS is assisting Wilson County officials on the scene.
