
The winning Lotto Texas ticket was sold at Gordon’s Bait & Tackle, a South Texas convenience store and gas station with fishing gear and bait, plus breakfast and tacos. The $78 million jackpot hit all six of the winning numbers, as well as the bonus. The winning numbers were: 7, 17, 23, 28, 39, and the bonus number was 48. The numbers were drawn on Saturday, November 15.
The prize has not yet been claimed as of Monday, November 17, according to the Texas Lottery. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim the prize. The player picked out their numbers as they did not opt for a quick-pick ticket. The winner selected the cash value option for payment, which the the claimant will receive an estimated $43.6 million before taxes. Aside from the standard 5% sales commission, the retailer that sold the jackpot-winning ticket will not receive a retailer bonus.
To play Lotto Texas, you must select six numbers from 1 to 54 on a playslip or choose the “Quick Pick” option for randomly generated numbers. Each play costs $1 per drawing.
Lotto Texas drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. Texas Two Step drawings are held every Monday and Thursday at 10:12 p.m.
Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10:12 p.m. Cash Five is held Monday through Saturday at 10:12 p.m.
Pick 3, the Daily 4 and All or Nothing are held Monday through Saturday at 10 a.m., 12:27 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10:12 p.m. each day
