Winter Carnival at Arnold Park | New holiday tradition coming to south side

This is the first year of the two-day celebration that will be filled with festive fun, winter magic, and holiday cheer for the whole family.

SAN ANTONIO — A new holiday tradition is coming to the south side this holiday season!

San Antonio Parks Foundation says the Winter Carnival at Arnold Park is making its debut in a few weeks! They promise that the brand new two-day celebration will be filled with festive fun, winter magic, and holiday cheer for the whole family.

Winter Carnival will be hosted by the San Antonio Parks Foundation and AC Amusements, in partnership with the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department.

It will take place on Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22 at Arnold Park located at 1011 Gillette Blvd.

The fun takes place from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday. The festivities are all free and open to everyone of all ages.

If you’d like to ice skate, it will cost $15 and if you’d like to enjoy both ice skating and also get a wristband for the rides, it will be $25.

There will also be a free holiday movie on Friday night at 7 p.m. And on Saturday, you can get free photos with Santa from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

End the night on Saturday with dance party with a DJ on site.
