Multiple agencies were called to the scene after the woman said she believed her friend had been shot by her ex-boyfriend.
KINGSLAND, Texas — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that appears to be a murder-suicide in Kingsland.
The Llano County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call about multiple shots fired outside of a home on Skyline Drive on Nov. 19.
A woman told law enforcement that she had locked herself in the home with her 4-year-old daughter and that she believed her ex-boyfriend may have shot her friend.
A deputy heard two shots come from the front of the home, but couldn’t see any movement in the yard because of how dark it was outside at the time. Multiple agencies, including the state troopers, were then called to the scene.
When they arrived, authorities discovered two men dead on the front porch with obvious gunshot wounds. One of the men was identified as 35-year-old Jon Kendrick. The other man has not yet been identified.
Meanwhile, the woman who called authorities was found inside the home with her daughter. Both of them were uninjured in the shooting.
Authorities said they’re still investigating the shooting to make sure no other parties were involved. The sheriff’s office also thanked the Granite Shoals Police Department for their assistance and resources that were brought to the scene.
