Woman arrested after cutting man during argument on southwest side, police say

A 48-year-old woman was arrested after police say she cut a 52-year-old man with a kitchen knife during an argument on San Antonio’s southwest side.

SAN ANTONIO — SAN ANTONIO — A woman was arrested Sunday night after police say she cut a man with a kitchen knife during an argument on the city’s southwest side.

San Antonio police were called to the 2800 block of South General McMullen Drive near General Hudnell Drive around 10:21 p.m. for a reported cutting in progress.

Officers found a 52-year-old man with apparent non-life-threatening lacerations to his upper extremities, according to police.

Investigators said the man and a 48-year-old woman were involved in a verbal altercation when the woman allegedly retrieved a kitchen knife and cut him.

The man was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

Police said the suspect was apprehended at the scene. The incident is being investigated as aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
