Authorities say an undercover investigation led to a raid at a Floresville business, where hundreds of grams of THC and other drugs were seized.
FLORESVILLE, Texas — An undercover investigation led to a drug bust at a Floresville business, resulting in an arrest and the seizure of a large amount of illegal substances, authorities said.
According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant on March 11 at a business called Purple Haze in Floresville.
The operation followed a months-long undercover investigation conducted by a Drug Enforcement Administration task force officer assigned to the county.
Authorities said Aladina Rodriguez, 45, of Floresville, was taken into custody at the scene and is facing multiple felony charges related to drug possession, including methamphetamine and THC.
During the search, investigators seized more than 400 grams of THC, which they say is equivalent to about 60 banker boxes of product found inside the business.
Officials also reported finding additional evidence indicating the products being sold were illegal.
The operation involved multiple agencies, including the Floresville Police Department, La Vernia Police Department, Karnes County Sheriff’s Office and the 81st District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities say additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
The sheriff’s office is also warning residents to be cautious when purchasing products from similar businesses, saying packaging may appear legal, but the contents may not be.
