
Police arrested a woman for allegedly pointing a gun at her ex-husband during a child custody dispute at a Hondo High School vs. Comfort High School softball game.
HONDO, Texas — The Hondo Police Department arrested a woman for allegedly pointing a gun at her ex-husband during a child custody dispute at a varsity softball game.
On March 7, HPD responded to a varsity softball game between Hondo High School and Comfort High School after receiving reports of a disturbance involving a weapon outside the left outfield fence of the stadium.
Authorities said the dispute involve four individuals regarding child custody. During the argument, police said 30-year-old Elysia Quinn Klatt grabbed a firearm from a vehicle and allegedly pointed it at her ex-husband before being immediately disarmed by another male involved in the altercation. No shots were fired.
Klatt and the male then reportedly left the area, traveling south on FM 462 before the Medina County Sheriff’s Office located Klatt and took her into custody.
Klatt is facing charges of aggravated assault of a deadly weapon, unlawful carrying of a weapon in a prohibited place and terroristic threat against family/household member – aggravated assault.
