SAN ANTONIO — Police have arrested a woman they say robbed a 7-Eleven wearing a plastic bag covering her face and carrying a weapon.
San Antonio Police were dispatched to the Exxon / 7-Eleven gas station located on I-35 North at Eisenhauer Road on the northeast side of town on Wednesday for reports of a robbery in progress.
Police say that Gabriela Marisol Ramirez, 28, entered the store with a black plastic bag concealing her face and told the cashier she had a weapon. She jumped over the counter and grabbed the cash register and walked toward the door carrying it, according to arrest paperwork.
According to police, the store employee blocked the door from the outside in an attempt to stop the suspect. Ramirez reached to the back of her waistband and told the store employee that she had a weapon, police say. The employee moved away from the door and Ramirez drove away from the scene in a black truck. The entire incident was captured on surveillance video, police say.
Ramirez was arrested and is being charged with aggravated robbery. Police say it appears the suspect’s vehicle was used in at least two other robberies. While being interrogated by police, Ramirez comfessed to the three robberies.
Ramirez is facing at least four felony charges.
