SAN ANTONIO — A woman was shot in the shoulder and carjacked by two men in ski masks on the east side of town early Friday morning.
San Antonio Police were called out to the 100 block of Elaine Road around 6 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.
When officers arrived at the home, they found a 21-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her shoulder. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim told officers that she was leaving for work and backing out of her driveway, when the suspects blocked her car with their vehicle and the two armed suspects wearing ski masks told her to get out of her car.
The woman said she was complying when one of the suspects began shooting, striking her on the shoulder.
They then fled from the scene.
Police say this is an active and ongoing investigation.
