SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating a stabbing that left a woman in critical condition Tuesday morning just north of downtown San Antonio.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 8:15 a.m. to the 200 block of West Lullwood Avenue near West Hildebrand Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with multiple injuries to her upper body. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators say before the incident, the woman called her son, telling him her husband was acting strange. When the son arrived at the home, he found his mother already injured.
Police say the woman’s husband has since been arrested and is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon involving family violence. Authorities say those charges could be upgraded.
Officers are waiting on a search warrant to process the home as part of the ongoing investigation.
