SAN ANTONIO — A woman was killed during a family gathering on the northeast side of San Antonio late Saturday night.
It happened around midnight in the 6000 block of Clematis Trail near Eisenhauer Road.
Police say the 44-year-old woman, identified as Jennifer McClendon, was shot by a suspect who then fled from the scene in an orange Dodge Challenger. No description was provided of the suspect.
She was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where she was later pronounced deceased.
Police are working to gather information from multiple witnesses identified at the scene.
Right now, it’s unclear what led up to the shooting. No other injuries were reported.
