The owner of the dogs is facing several citations for allowing them to roam and lack of rabies vaccines for the animals as the woman recovers in the hospital.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman was hospitalized after Animals Control Services said two dogs attacked her on the west side.
Around 1 p.m., officials said they responded to a homeless encampment near the 200 block of Holy Cross after receiving reports of a dog attack.
Preliminary information from ACS suggest three dogs were roaming the area when two of them attacked and bit the woman on her arm and upper body.
ACS says when the owner found his dogs, he received several citations for the bites, allowing the dogs to roam and lack of rabies vaccinations for the animals involved.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to ACS.
This is an ongoing investigation.
