A tree trimmer accidentally hit a fiber optic line, severely injuring a woman on the northeast side.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman is in critical condition after an accident involving a fiber optic line late Friday morning on the northeast side, police say.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. near a home at the 9200 block of Oak Ledge.
Police at the scene say a tree trimmer hit a fiber optic line. The fiber optic line then hit a woman who was doing yard work. She was hit in the head. Police said she was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
