Officers told us that the driver had tried to swerve to avoid hitting her, but still made contact, then kept driving.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries after being hit by a driver on the far west side of town late Wednesday evening.
It happened around 11:41 p.m. at the intersection of Horal Drive and Dale Valley Drive.
Police say the woman was trying to cross the street when she was hit by a driver in a pickup truck. The driver swerved to avoid hitting her but still made contact and kept driving.
Officers say the driver then drove home, picked up his girlfriend and returned to the scene about45 min later.
No charges have been filed.
