SAN ANTONIO — A woman has died following a possible hit-and-run crash in northwest San Antonio, according to police.
San Antonio officers were called to the scene in the 1800 block of Bandera Road near Hillcrest Drive just before 6 a.m. Wednesday, February 18.
Police said the woman was struck while she was outside of a crosswalk. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the crash may have involved a driver who left the area before officers arrived.
As the investigation continues, Bandera Road is closed from Broadview Drive to Sunshine Drive, and traffic in the area is being redirected.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while officers work the scene.
