CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Bishop Animal Shelter has received an unexpected and generous donation from a resident who recently died.
In her will, she left $200,000 to be left to Animal Care Services.
Chief Edward Day of the Bishop Police Department said the department will use stretch the money to benefit as many people in the community as possible.
“Her last decision to leave us that money is definitely something that we don’t take for granted,” he said.
