Police say a woman was waiting for the bus when a nearby driver lost control and crashed into the bus stop, pinning the woman underneath the rubble.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman has life-threatening injuries after a driver lost control and crashed into her at a bus stop Thursday afternoon, officials say.
The accident happened around noon in the 400 block of east Southcross Boulevard near the intersection with Pecan Valley.
Police say a woman was waiting for the bus when a nearby driver lost control and crashed into the bus stop, pinning the woman underneath the rubble.
She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two other people were at the bus stop, and one of them was also taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
The car also slammed into a utility pole, knocking a live wire onto Southcross Boulevard.


The driver was treated on the scene and should be okay, but it is unclear the driver will be facing any charges.
