Woman reunited with two cats, Rambo and Mo, lost during the flood

A branch broke through the window of her home and the cats both got out during the storm.

KERR COUNTY, Texas — A woman who lost her two cats during the flooding has been reunited with the pair of felines one week later!

Cindy says a tree branch went through her home early in the morning on July 4th, destroying it.

Her cats Rambo and Mo both went missing on that fateful morning. Since then, volunteers have been out searching for them, as well as other pets lost in the storm.

“Like so many, she lost her home, but she never lost hope that the cats would be found,” says Austin Pets Alive!

Earlier in the week, Rambo was located and she was reunited with him. Then Saturday, Mo was found as well.

“The joy that spread across her face is the best way to describe the relationship between people and pets,” says Austin Pets Alive!

And just like the good neighbor that Cindy is, she immediately asked about her neighbors’ cats, who Austin Pets Alive! has also been working to recover.

Austin Pets Alive! says, “And that describes exactly how people have shown up for each other this last week. It is an honor to work alongside every individual that has shown up to offer that kind of hope for people and pets in need. We’ll keep going.”

APA says they have pulled more animals to make more room in their facility, with plans in place to transport more animals to another shelter out of state in a few days.
