Officers believe she may have been hit by more than one vehicle.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman is dead after police say she was hit and killed by a driver on the southeast side of San Antonio early Monday morning.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Southton Road near Loop 410.

Officers say the 68-year-old woman was hit by at least one car while she was riding her bike back from a convenience store.

A person she was riding with told police said they got way ahead and lost sight of her, then they found her on the ground after circling back.

The woman died at the scene. Police did say one person did stop to help the woman.

This is a developing story.
