SAN ANTONIO — A woman was sent to the hospital after being swept from her car by high water on the northeast side of town early Monday morning.
San Antonio firefighters and police responded to Corrinne Drive at Austin Highway around 2:35 a.m. Monday for reports of a high water rescue.
Police say the woman was driving with three other people on Austin Highway when they drove into some high water.
As the woman tried getting out of her car, she was taken by the current.
Luckily, officers were able to hear her yelling from the neck-deep water downstream in order to get firefighters to her location for her rescue.
She was taken to the hospital to dry out and warm up. The other three were not injured and were walked up the street by crews.
This is a developing story.
