SAN ANTONIO — One person is in custody after a woman is shot in the eye and hand while at a McDonald’s Monday afternoon, according to San Antonio Police.
The incident took place near the Culebra Crossing Shopping Center at a a McDonald’s around 4 p.m. Monday.
Officials say they found a vehicle with some bullet holes but were unable to find the victim. They were able to locate the victim at a CVS where she drove herself to after the shooting incident, police say.
When officials found the woman she had a gunshot to her left eye and hand. The woman then able gave a name and description of the suspect to the officers who were able to locate the victim at his apartment.
Family members tell police the two individuals were in a relationship for a time.
The woman was sent to the hospital for her injuries and an investigation is ongoing.
