KENDALL COUNTY, Texas — A San Antonio woman is serving 18 years in prison after taking a plea deal in Kendall County for drunk driving.
The woman was driving on the wrong side of Interstate-10 last year in June.
Attorneys say deputies chased her 14 miles before making an arrest.
37-year-old Epiphany Richmond was already on probation for intoxication manslaughter in Bexar County where her sister died in the passenger seat.
It happened back in May 2014 where Richmond’s car rolled over. Richmond had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol behind the wheel.
In her latest arrest, she had the same amount while driving on the wrong side of I-10.
Deputies say she almost crashed into multiple cars on the road and had to flatten her tires to get her to stop.
Deputies say Richmond was uncooperative and had to remove her from the vehicle.
They found a comedy club receipt in her purse and Richmond claimed she was driving near her home on the south side of San Antonio.
Since Richmond was already serving time on her 10 year probation in Bexar County, the Kendall County District Attorney’s Office wanted to add on to her sentence to not run at the same time.
Richmond accepted the plea deal on Friday to serve 18 years in prison.
